Erythromycin is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth. Erythromycin helps with the reducing acne outbreaks, redness and inflammation on the skin.
Erythromycin inhibits the growth of the acne bacteria and works mainly against pimples and pimples. You will notice this effect within a few days, but it can take up to four weeks before the effect is maximum.
User manual
Apply a thin layer of Erythromycin to affected areas of the skin, usually once a day or as prescribed by your doctor. Make sure the skin is clean and dry before applying the liquid.

Important to know about Erythromycin
- Erythromycin inhibits bacterial growth (antibiotic) and works within a few days.
- Clean the skin with lukewarm water before use. Apply it thinly. In addition to pimples, also on skin areas where you often suffer from blackheads, acne and pustules.
- You may experience irritated skin (redness, burning, itching, peeling). This usually goes away after a few days. Does this bother you a lot? Then use the liquid less frequently, for example once a day. Does this side effect last longer than a few weeks? Then consult your doctor.
- Use Erythromycin only on undamaged skin. Prevent irritation: avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth or wounds. Does this happen anyway? Then rinse with plenty of water.
Can I take Erythromycin with other medications?
You may experience more skin irritation if you also use other acne skin remedies that irritate the skin. Sometimes the doctor prescribes taking one medication in the morning and the other in the evening.
